What is FUNCTIONAL Medicine?
Functional Medicine is where traditional medical practices intersect with holistic treatments to help people reach their optimal health. The goal of functional medicine is to treat the root cause of an issue, as well as relieve the symptoms.
Our process begins with a personalized wellness consultation with our board certified Family Medicine physician, Dr. Karey Breen, M.D. During this detailed assessment, Dr. Breen dives into a patient's medical history, as well as any genetic, environmental or lifestyle factors that might influence their health. Following the initial visit, lab tests and blood work are performed, and a customized wellness plan is created for each patient. Wellness plans can include a combination of IV therapy, nutrition recommendations, fitness goals, natural healing, prescription medications and regular office visits to monitor a patient's progress towards restoring their body's balance and well being.
